Minimum Level of Relevant Income for MPF Contributions Increased to HKD7,100 Monthly - Effective from 1 November 2013
The minimum level of relevant income has been increased from HKD6,500 to HKD7,100 per month, with effect from 1 November 2013. For contribution periods starting on or after 1 November 2013, you will have to calculate MPF contributions according to the new minimum level of relevant income.
Employers are required to make the employer's part of mandatory contributions regardless of the amount of the employee's relevant income, and to calculate the contributions according to the new minimum leval of relevant income.
